Team CBITMUN conducted the Youth Parliament on the 8th of February, 2025. The occasion was graced by the presence of Dr. C V Narasimhulu, Principal, and faculty coordinators Dr. Shagufta and Dr. Rahul. The topic of discussion was – Reviewing the 10 years of NDA governance. Nitin Kumar and Sai Siddharth Chanda, alumni of CBIT, served as the Executive Board for the Youth Parliament.
Team CBITMUN conducted Youth Parliament on the 26th of November, 2022 on the occasion of Constitution Day. The occasion was graced by the presence of Dr. P Ravinder Reddy sir, Principal, and Prof P Sreenivasa Sarma sir, Advisor - Student Affairs and Progression. The topic of discussion was - The need for the Uniform Civil Code- formulation of one nation, one law. Harsh Agarwal, Sohan Kumar, and Eswar Teja Chava, alumni of CBIT, served as the Executive Board for the Youth Parliament. The event saw the footfall of over 130 delegates.
On the occasion of the 73rd Republic Day, CBIT Model United Nations conducted its first edition of Panel talk - Colloquy on the topic "Indic Renaissance - Reviving India's lost heritage for the future generations". The eminent panelists were Prof. Abhinav Kumar, Shri. Gauranga Das, Dr. Sampadananda Mishra, and Smt. Monica Reddy who rekindled the essence of Indic culture and heritage amongst the audience under the ingenious moderation of Mr. Naman Vankdari.
CBITMUN conducted the simulation of the Indian Parliament with a total participation of 78 students across the country. The event took place on the 28th of February 2021 on a Zoom platform. The agenda was pertaining to the Farm Bills which created a lot of stir in the nation. The committee was presided over by Mr. Naman Vankdari, a lawyer by profession from Bangalore.
On the 26th of February, 2020, CBIT witnessed the successful rendition of the ‘Youth Parliament’- the very first of its kind event in CBIT. This event was organized by the CBITMUN club based on the guidelines issued by the AICTE in accordance with the ‘National Youth Parliament Competition’ initiative by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs. A Youth Parliament is a simulation of the parliamentary procedures of the country which essentially provides an opportunity to the students to learn better about this subject through active participation.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was observed how morally and mentally flinching the effects of a Lockdown could be. We could also see how the world's scenario has been deteriorating with chaos prevalent everywhere. In this regard, after a lot of inputs and deliberations, "The Special Summit on COVID-19" - A One Day Congregation of the Heads of Various States in light of the Global Pandemic was conducted on 13th May, 2020.
At CBITMUN, we focus on providing the best of experiences and a whole new outlook on the Model UN to whoever is associated with it - be it the delegates, Executive Board or the Organising Committee. One such initiative that makes us stand out from the rest is the Young Leaders' Program - wherein a school student between sixth to tenth grade is given an opportunity to sit on the Executive Board and experience our conference in a new perspective.
Apart from organizing a world class Model United Nations Conference, Team CBITMUN initiated a program to spread the knowledge of MUNs to other educational institutions. The training team, which consists of students from CBIT who have a high degree of experience in MUNs, visit various schools in South India and teaches them the procedures of a typical Model United Nations Conference.
