SRD 2022
CBITMUN consists of a Social Responsibility Department (SRD) which collaborates with NGOs every year to work for the underprivileged. In collaboration with NSS-CBIT, we started a Donation Drive in March 2022, and the proceeds of this Drive were donated as part of the SRD event. We collaborated with Hope of Life Foundation, a generous organization which serves the lower rungs of the society. We visited Govt High School, Vijaya Nagar Colony on 23rd of April. There were around 25 students, residing in the Govt School. We have interacted with the students and attempted to get to know their dreams and aspirations.
SRD 2021
In 2021, CBITMUN in collaboration with NSS-CBIT has partnered with Deven’s Hope as a part of their Social Responsibility Department initiative by conducting a donation drive in order to transfer the proceeds in kind to the organization. The entire team made a visit to The Pet Cafe on the 17th of February, 2021 in order to support Deven’s Hope.
SRD 2019
In 2019, the Social Responsibility Department of CBITMUN had arrived and urged to do again, what it's always believed in, giving back to the society. It is an initiative that has held us in highest team making sure we stand out from the rest and remind us all that there is more to life than boardroom meetings. A donation drive was set up at the old canteen for collecting daily essentials (clothes, bags, shoes, books, etc) that some of us may not be using anymore. All the collected items were donated to an orphanage.
SRD 2018
Team CBITMUN as part of SRD 2018, visited BASS Home at Osmangunj and celebrated Independence Day with the tiny tots. SRD team conducted a free General & Dental Check-up for these kids and a crafts competition to bring out the hidden artists and a few games to end with. Those bright smiles on these innocent faces were all that the team could have ever asked for.
